Acupressure for poor concentration

During these dark Portland winter days, I have many patients complaining about brain fog. With the cold damp weather and short days, it’s no wonder that so many people are feeling that their mental acuity has declined. Here is a short, easy acupressure protocol to help improve your concentration throughout the day.¬† Du20 diagram

Massage the acupuncture point Du 20 to stimulate mental clarity. Du 20 is located on the very top of the head, midway between the ears. When you are feeling for the point, there is typically a small divot or tender place. This acupuncture point is commonly needled to increase mental energy and improve focus. Stimulate the point with your index finger for 30-45 seconds for a quick “brain boost”.
