Acupuncture for Pain

Headache, back pain, and sciatica are the top three most common medical complaints.  Back pain impacts 70% of the population at some point, and, after the common cold, it is the most frequent reason for missed work.

If you don’t find a viable treatment for your pain with your medical doctor, acupuncture treats back pain, headache, sciatica, as well as many other forms of pain.  Acupuncture is safe and effective, without the adverse effects of surgery and drug therapy.  In addition, acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, cupping, massage, and herbal therapy help reduce pain while also addressing the underlying cause of the pain. So unlike taking a pain-reducing drug, which only manages the pain, a series of acupuncture treatments can actually result in pain resolution because it treats the disorder.

Pain is exhausting.  It’s also depressing, and it is easy to feel powerless.  Severe pain can overtake every aspect of your life.  But acupuncture is empowering.  It can raise your energy level, boost your mood, AND reduce your pain. I’ve had so many patients say to me, “I wish I had known about acupuncture X years ago when all this pain started.” If you are facing surgical intervention, or if medications aren’t managing your symptoms, what have you got to lose by exploring acupuncture?

If you are looking for Portland acupuncture for your pain, please email me at boynn@allandone.com to set up a free consultation.  And if you live outside of Portland and want to find a good acupuncturist in your area, I may be able to make some recommendations.  I invite you to contact me with any questions you have about acupuncture and your health.
