Acupuncture for Dental Anxiety

For some people, a trip to the dentist can cause a LOT of anxiety. For those who truly fear going to the dentist, acupuncture can help. Acupuncture has been used in lieu of anesthesia for dental procedures (and surgeries), but it can also significantly reduce anxiety before dental work.  Researchers found that 3 needles in specific points in each ear 30 minutes prior to a dental procedure effectively reduced anxiety.

Contact Portland acupuncturist Boynn McIntire if you would like to receive acupuncture right before or during a dental procedure. Free consultations may be made by calling All and One Acupuncture in Northeast Portland at (503) 281-6909 or by scheduling online.
